At the moment, the general hospital in Nikšić is most lacking in ENT specialists, surgeons and psychiatrists, Dušanka Milatović Perović, the director of this health institution, pointed out in Colors of the Morning.
"We don't have enough psychiatrists, that's known. In Nikišić, we have three psychiatrists, one is often on sick leave. It's not enough, we also hire them from the side, so that the service can function. The patients don't suffer, but the doctors work for us even more than prescribed." , explains Perović.
Despite everything, Milatović Perović points out that they provide adequate care, that the hospital functions well and that they managed to reduce waiting lists.
"Waiting lists are everywhere in the world, including in our country. In Nikšić, they have been reduced as much as possible. In the past, the wait for certain examinations was as long as half a year, now the maximum is two months. The longest wait is for holters. And all emergency patients, such as are oncological, they have an advantage, that is, they don't wait at all," Milatović Perović pointed out.
