Part of the parents of children who go to the Resource Center for Education and Training "1. June" are dissatisfied with the work of that institution.
They demanded an immediate reaction from the authorities, the dismissal of the director Maja Kalezić, and appealed to the Education Inspectorate and the Ombudsman...
"The ombudsman found a violation of the child's rights, the inspection found a violation of the Law on the Education of Children with Special Educational Needs, and what is most interesting is that the school board supported the director, so the question arises as to how they were guided by the laws, justice and fairness are not," said one of the parents, Goran Laković.
Parents claim that it happens that children even run away from that institution...
"My child managed to leave the institution a few days ago, without any supervision, to make matters even worse for me as a parent, is an attempt to cover up the event by the institution. We are put in a situation where we simply think about who are the people who work with our children and what is happening inside the institution". Anđela Jokić said.
What exactly is happening and what they have done, the Ministry of Education did not specifically answer... In June, the educational inspector found irregularities and submitted a proposal to the School Board of that institution to dismiss the director Maja Kalezić because it was found that she allowed the violation of the Law on the Education of Children with special educational needs. However…
"The Education Inspectorate received the Decision of the School Board dated August 13, which rejects the proposal of the Education Inspector to dismiss the director of the institution," the Ministry of Education announced.
In the meantime, the law was changed, so the decision on the election and dismissal of the principal is no longer made by the School Board, but by the Minister of Education. At the same time, parents are calling on the authorities to improve their children's educational conditions...
"If our classrooms and yards are as they are, let us change them, let us adapt them to children from the special spectrum of autism, we cannot keep them closed for 4-5 hours in small and inadequate classrooms REZ 5:35 Those children do not progress there Lakovic said.
The Resource Center was instructed by the Ministry and the Ombudsman to implement recommendations and new work programs. Parents will monitor it and say:
"Every morning I leave my child with some kind of stomach cramp, with some discomfort, with some fear and apprehension, what will happen next..." said Jokić.
