The leader of the "For the Future of Podgorica" list, Jelena Borovinić Bojović, said in Boje jutra, on TV Vijesti, that she leaves room for further negotiations with the "Za Bolja Podgorica" list, which did not respond to her previous call on the constitution of the government. And the holder of the PES-Democrat list, Saša Mujović, says that the coalition around Milatović is open to invitation, but not, as he states, as a result of rotten compromises. They agree that a stable government needs to be formed as soon as possible.
"If we think about the citizens of Podgorica, if they are our focus, if we care about their problems, their quality of life, everything that makes life pleasant for them, then I certainly think that there is no dilemma and that it is completely clear that it is very important that rather form the government," Borovinić Bojović pointed out.
"We want the government to be formed as soon as possible, so that it is not just any government. That it is not the result of some kind of rotten compromises, because rotten compromises will never bring anyone good, but that it be a functional government so that we can achieve all that which we promised the citizens during the election campaign. If we are going to form a government, with the desire and with the intention that after three months, after the first Podgorica north, that government will shake and cause instability again, then it is better not to form it and go to elections", explains Mujović.
However, they point out that new extraordinary elections are not a solution for them, but that it will be known very soon if there will be any.
"It's good that from the very beginning it is known exactly what each list offers and what each list is asking for, and then we will see if in the coming days we will find that common denominator and form the government," says Mujović.
"It is clear that the further development of Podgorica has already been interrupted by this election process, that it was done completely consciously, targeted and intentionally. Any further delay in the constitution of the government would actually be something to the detriment of the citizens of Podgorica. New elections would not bring us anything new. Citizens have clearly expressed their will in the elections in 2022 and 2024. Here and now we are in a situation where we are wondering how many times the citizens should repeat to us what they want we would understand that. I think that it is our obligation and duty towards those citizens to fulfill their expectations and to behave maximally responsibly towards them", concludes Jelena Borovinić Bojović.
