Prisoners infected with scabies isolated, bathing in UIKS three to five times a week

Scabies did not spread in the Spuška prison, which houses an average of 550 detainees, and the two infected are isolated and under the supervision of dermatologists.

Hygiene in the prison is maintained according to international standards, and the inmates bathe three to five times a week.

This is what UIKS assistant director Savo Milašinović said in Colors of the Morning.

Commenting on the criminal complaint that was filed against the head of the health service in Spuz due to the untimely taking of measures, he says that the inspection of the Ministry of Health on November 27 stated that everything was done according to the regulations.

All contacts of a tuberculosis patient were also isolated in the prison.

Thirteen doctors of various specialties, 13 technicians and two dentists take care of the health of the detainee. A total of 17 full-time employees work in the prison, and 474 people are hired under contract, of which 160 perform security duties.
