On the route from Bar to Podgorica and back this morning, one train is running, while due to a malfunction of the train to Nikšić, passengers are still being transported by bus today.
This is what the executive director of the Railway Transport, Dragana Lukšić, said in "Boja jutra" on TV Vijesti, adding that she hopes to make another train operational during the day. There are regular services to Bijeli Polaj and Belgrade.
Lukšić announced that she suspects that this problem was caused by the obstruction of a dozen employees, who recently asked for a salary increase, for which, Lukšić says, there are currently no conditions.
"The train that departs from Belgrade is correct, all the cars in Belgrade, Prijepolje, Bijelo Polje, Podgorica are inspected and it reaches Bar... simply, all the cars, owned by ŽPCG, are immediately turned off. We have so many events that we have to do it well The cars that are given in Bar are working, in Podgorica they are immediately turned off, on such a short distance," she said.
Lukšić said that the Unified Union of ŽPCG workers addressed the Board of Directors and her with a request to increase their wages by 200 euros. "And they listed that from the executive service such as train drivers, control and acceptance authorities for locomotives, car inspectors... Their demands are absolutely not justified".
She stated that the salary of a train driver ranges from 967 to 1.338 euros, the salary of a train inspector from 814 to 992 euros...
He believes that these are sufficient amounts for the work they perform, given that it is a secondary vocational education and "the situation we are in".
