The leader of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Danijel Živković said that he was not surprised that the Movement for Podgorica and the coalitions PES-Democrats and Za budućnost Podgorica agreed on the formation of the government in Podgorica and that it was obvious that "some serious blackmail had taken place".
He said in the show Načisto on Television Vijesti that after yesterday's meeting of those parties, he expected an agreement to be reached between those in power.
"The only question that arises is why we had new elections, why the shortened mandate of the Assembly was called and what those who shortened the mandate, among others, asked the citizens in the new elections because they said that they did not do things well with those they ended up with. slowly, what we have seen in the previous year and a half of their mandate, we will also see in the following period of time. in Podgorica," said Živković.
He assessed that "some serious blackmail obviously took place".
Živković also said that it is obvious that the Movement for Podgorica and GP URA "are no longer together".
"And that speaks volumes about the frivolity and fragmentation on the political scene," he said.
He recalled that the Movement for Podgorica, on the eve of the local elections, performed on an anti-government platform.
"They said that they were dissatisfied with the way the city administration worked and functioned while they were in the coalition. What happened in the meantime, from the statements that they will not negotiate with those who are destroying the Constitution in one day, to the fact that the next day they are calling for negotiations with those with whom they have what the government did yesterday remains an open question. Obviously, some serious blackmail happened," said Živković.
He also said that he had to remind that all of the representatives of the government "screamed" that various videos were being filmed around the Presidency building.
"And that they say that (Jakov) Milatović should resign or return the mandate to the citizens. How he cheated the assets on August 30... You see the various pressures that came from Milan Knežević and some other representatives of the majority parliament...", he added.
He said that after that, organizations such as the "Miholjski zbor" and some others from Nikšić and Danilovgrad followed up, saying that they would start "large rallies to defend the will of the citizens from August 30".
"Those who kneel in the face of this kind of pressure or shake their pants because someone will call them to account, and they dismissed the government because of its irresponsibility, dysfunctionality and in the end end up in the same coalition arrangement, should not be coalition partners of DPS" , said Zivkovic.
He also added that "individuals do not have the courage and guts to end a government they do not want".
"I don't think that the opportunity was wasted in the negotiations for the Movement for Podgorica. The time has passed for those with one or two councilors to consider that they can meet the condition of having a key position in the capital. The political scene has turned into such that those with one or two mandates are demanding the position of president of the SO or mayor. That is rude to me," said the DPS leader.
"We have the same opinion about Abazović as we did a month, two or a year ago"
He also stated that they have "the same opinion as we had a month, two or a year ago" about the leader of the GP URA, Dritan Abazović.
"He who signs the basic contract in such a way and sells the sacred, religious, spiritual and other treasures of Montenegro will sooner or later have to repent of what he has done if he wants to be on a new, modern platform...", Živković said, among other things.
"I hate communicating with the Sky app"
The DPS leader also said that he hates communication with the Sky application.
"We read them every day and there is different information in those correspondences. I myself abhor that information when I read it".
I am in favor of Đukanović being the honorary president of DPS
Živković also said that the issue of the honorary president of the DPS will be defined in the new Statute of the DPS.
Asked if he was in favor of former DPS president Milo Đukanović being elected as honorary president, Živković said yes.
