A traffic sign factory is being built on Karabuško polje, near Tuza. Nothing in dispute - that this, as Tuzi Municipality has categorized it - a facility of economic importance, is in the middle of the settlement, right next to the houses and yards.
With the assessment that there are no possible negative consequences for the surrounding population, in March the Municipality of Tuzi issued to Hasib Adrović, the owner of the company "Korita sig" which is building the factory, all the permits necessary for the start of the works, after the construction inspection of the Ministry of Spatial Planning prohibited them. .
In the explanation, which is signed by the Secretary for Urban Planning, Ljeka Ivezaj, they issued the permit based on Article 223 of the Law on Spatial Planning and Construction of Buildings, which states that, until the adoption of the General Regulation Plan of Montenegro, authorities on the construction of buildings of general interest are given to local self-governments.
In the meantime, court expert in the field of construction, Tanja Drakulović, stated in July that the building is being built contrary to the Detailed Urban Plan "Karabuško polje", which allows for the construction of only low-density residential buildings on this plot.
In addition, he concludes that there is a risk of demolition of the retaining wall built right next to the Šabotić plot, that the side wall of the ramp is not secured, which is why it poses a danger to the neighbors... Although we tried, we were unable to get a comment on these allegations from the investor. From the Department of Spatial Planning, they say that, although they have prohibited the construction, they do not have the authority to cancel the issued building permits, but they will proceed to solve this issue.
The factory on Karabuško polje is another example in which, instead of institutions, the battle is fought by citizens.
