Kračković: The Democrats are trying to politicize the protest, their campaign can lead to them being even more massive

The editor-in-chief of TV Vijesti Radomir Kračković assessed that the campaign of Democratic Montenegro, in which those who, because of the tragedy in Cetinje, demanded the dismissal of the Deputy Prime Minister for Security, Defense, Fight against Crime and Internal Policy Aleksa Bećić and Minister of the Interior Danilo Saranović may lead to the protests being even more massive.

He was a guest in the Colors of the Morning on Vijesti Television and said that many people, including him, will not be convinced that all the people who gathered in Cetinje or at the protest in Podgorica are "Kavčani, Bemaksov or supporters of DPS".

Kračković also said that the state must understand the seriousness of the situation after the second massacre in Cetinje, so that such things would never happen again in the future.

"It is justified to ask the question of responsibility, and as far as the politicization of the protest itself is concerned, I think that they consciously tried to politicize the protest itself from the authorities, primarily the Democrats. The resignations of their leaders from the security sector are demanded at those protests, and you will not convince many people, including me, that "all the people who gathered in Cetinje and Podgorica are 'Kavčani, Bemaksov or supporters of DPS,'" said the editor-in-chief of TV Vijesti.

He also pointed out that it is clear that there are people and activists there who, for example, supported this government when it was in opposition.

"You can't target in that way all the people who legitimately raise the question of responsibility in this case. And my opinion, maybe it will be wrong, is that this very campaign can lead to the protests being more massive. We'll see, maybe I'm wrong , but we had a similar pattern in my opinion in Serbia, where we have student protests where they try to discredit themselves in every possible way by the authorities in Serbia... What we see is that despite those attempts to discredit those protests, over time they were all more massive and spread... From the informal student organization "Kamo Śutra?", which is the formal organizer of the protest, they announced the continuation of the gathering, so we'll see," Kračković pointed out.

Informal student group "Kamo Śutra?" announced demands ahead of the protest held on January 5 at the Ministry of Internal Affairs building, the first being the resignation of Šaranović and Bečić.

This was reacted to by Democrats' MPs who claim that the informal group of students "Kamo Śutra?" but "Milo Đukanović personally, together with his criminal clans".

After that, the informal group of students demanded that Bečić and Saranović inform the public about the evidence on which they based their claims that organized criminal groups were behind them.

The Democrats responded again, repeating this time that the informal group of students "Kamo Śutra?" was not behind the protests in Podgorica, but that the protests were "orchestrated by Zoran Lazović", whom they stated was "the real boss of Milo Đukanović.
