The Parliament session to discuss the Budget Proposal for this year begins at 12 noon. The opposition has announced that it will once again block the session, demanding that the government annul the decision to retire Constitutional Court judge Dragan Đuranović, which they call a constitutional coup and a violation of the Constitution. The government, however, says that by blocking the session, the opposition is jeopardizing the functioning of the state, the payment of increased pensions and social benefits, and future borrowing.
Whether the session will take place will depend largely on Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandić, who can remove the opposition from the hall but also call on parliamentary security to stop the blockade.
