Since its establishment at the beginning of last year, the Alimony Fund has managed to recover only two percent of the money paid out from parents who do not pay child support, according to data from the Ministry of Finance provided to Television Vijesti.
On the other hand, 44 parents began to pay alimony regularly, reducing the number of beneficiaries of the state fund.
One of the initiators of the fund's formation, Branka Bošnjak, says that, despite its shortcomings, the fund justifies its existence, but that the authorities must work on its improvement.
