TV Vijesti journalist Danilo Ajković responded to the Supreme Prosecutor's Office, which reacted to a report regarding party recruitment that we dealt with in the documentary "Target: Relative State".
The State Prosecutor's Office stated that the public was deceived because, as they claim, Ajković never even asked the question of whether State Prosecutor Milorad Marković would issue a binding instruction to lower prosecutors' offices to investigate these suspicions. Ajković, however, claims that this is not true.
"I will refresh their memory with the information that on November 25th I asked whether the Marković State Prosecutor's Office would initiate a check of suspicions with the competent prosecutor's offices, but instead of a concrete answer to that question I received a copy-paste sentence that the prosecutor's office will not fail to react when there is a suspicion that a criminal offense has been committed. So much for the fact that they were never asked the question. Finally, on January 30th we are addressing them again and asking whether the lower prosecutor's offices have launched an investigation in the meantime and whether any other activity has been carried out, and we know what activities these may be that are within the jurisdiction of the Supreme Prosecutor's Office, because we are addressing it specifically, and not a lower prosecutor's office. However, they only remind us of their answers from November that in addition to prosecuting perpetrators of criminal offenses, there are other bodies that process possible violations of regulations, without stating whether and what activities they have undertaken. In doing so, they have dealt with form instead of substance, and citizens are still without an answer: does everything we have heard about party employment arouse any suspicion in them?", concluded Ajković.
