Božović: I did not criticize only the work of Ašanin, but the entire government in Mojkovac

Ranko Božović reacted to the article "A resident of Ašan reported a fellow citizen, fears for his safety" published on the Vijesti portal.

In his response, Božović stated that he had repeatedly addressed the official of the Civic Movement URA, Ivan Ašanin, as the vice president of the Mojkovac Municipality, criticizing his work, stating that he had the right to do so as a citizen.

Božović said that he criticized not only the work of Ašanin, but also the entire government of the Mojkovac municipality, "as well as the frequent drinking of coffee in Mojkovac bars during working hours."

"And the recording that was made, instead of being interpreted in that context, the public could interpret it in a completely different way because it was released after Mr. Ašanin talks about his political existence or non-existence and wants to raise his rating by directly targeting me as someone who was allegedly instructed by someone and from whom he is threatened. He is using my name to score cheap political points, but not only that, but he is also falsely accusing me.

I have also filed several reports with the Mojkovac Police Department, so I expect the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje to react and initiate proceedings, to put a stop to the reckless targeting of people. I am an ordinary family man, I do not belong to any political party, I have not been instructed by anyone and I do not endanger anyone's life, and if I did anything in a political sense, I did it at my own discretion and without any influence from third parties.

"At this moment, I publicly support Mr. Ašanin in his intention to resign as vice president and overthrow one of the worst governments in our city, but also to accept the fact that as vice president for more than three years, he has been part of it," said Božović.
