The Administration and Judiciary Union, at a new protest in front of the Government today, said that taking to the streets is the last form of struggle to improve social status and standards.
They say that the situation in that sector has never been worse, and that one cannot expect public administration to be of high quality while at the same time not appreciating employees and threatening them with optimization.
The President of the Trade Union, Nenad Rakočević, said that they themselves would insist on optimization - to see who works and how, and how civil servants are employed.
The gathered people walked to the Delegation of the European Union (EU) and submitted a request for admission to Ambassador Johan Sattler, to present their situation to him.
"We insist on optimization, we want to, but let's start with the highest positions, the decision-makers. So let's see which ministers are not working in accordance with the law and regulations; which state secretaries are not coming to work for months; who was hired but is not in accordance with the (required) skills, experience, and qualifications. How, and in the end it all falls on the state administration, and that is us. They talk about optimization and even today new staff are being hired, we all know in what way and how - under a contract for services," Rakočević pointed out.
