The election campaign in Nikšić is entering its final stages, and local elections in that municipality will be held on Sunday, April 13th.
What are the main problems of Nikšić, whether they were inherited or actively created by the new government, and why everything is still in the shadow of identity conflicts, was discussed in a sometimes heated debate that was recorded during the day and broadcast tonight on the show Načisto on Television Vijesti.

"They have ruined and devastated Nikšić in the past four years in every possible way. Both from an economic and cultural aspect, they have destroyed it, that is, they have tried to destroy that anti-fascist spirit, but it is indestructible in Nikšić," said the leader of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) "Fight for Nikšić" list, Boris Muratović.
When asked by the editor and host of the show Načisto, Petar Komnenić, "who is chasing whom and who is burning vehicles?", Muratović said, "that's what they do."

"This is what representatives of the DF (Democratic Front) are doing. I'm not saying that Serbs are doing this. This is what Marko Kovačević and his political fathers are doing, who experienced a debacle at Freedom Square when 700 people came to their final convention and then had to set fire to two cars worth 1.000 euros and say that they are threatened," said Muratović.
He said that they would do everything in their power to shed light on these cases.
The leader of the list of the coalition For the Future of Nikšić, "Zna Nikšić! We continue!" and the mayor of the Municipality of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević, said that 5.000 more people went to work this morning than at this time in 2021.
"It's easier to breathe because we closed the Mislov do landfill. Over 40 infrastructure projects have been implemented in this period," said Kovačević.
Radovan Bijelić, representative of the Europe Now Movement (PES) list - "Zdrav Nikšić - Dr. Zoran Mrkić", said that "while we are counting who is one and who is the other, who is Serb and who is Montenegrin, young people are leaving our city."
"And that's the essence. PES stands for improving the standard of living in Nikšić. PES stands for healthy workplaces.
The leader of the "We Are All Nikšić" list and the president of the Nikšić Municipal Assembly (MA), Nemanja Vuković, said that they are fighting crime.
"And they serve crime. And that's why this honorary president of theirs cursed us, because he knows that we know very well what he stands behind and what he has in Montenegro," said Vuković.
The leader of the European Union (EU) list "The Best You Can", Ivan Radojičić, said that poor continuity in the city's governance gave birth to the worst government in its history.
"I claim that Marko Kovačević's government is the worst government in the history of Nikšić. It could happen to an America that has the most developed democracy to have Trump as head of state. And twice. So why couldn't it happen to Nikšić to have a bad politician elected if it was necessary to replace someone who was not good and was certainly better than the rule of Marko Kovačević and Nemanja Vuković," said Radojičić.
The leader of the Civic Movement (GP) URA "Different" list, Dušan Golović, said that he thinks "that our identity card, our party's, is the work of the 43rd Government in the previous period, as far as Nikšić is concerned."
"This includes returning the Steelworks to state ownership, supporting the creation of new jobs through the opening of a vodka factory, and providing funds for the closure of the Mislov landfill, which was later closed in cooperation with the local administration," said Golović.
