It is still unknown whether a new government crisis is on the horizon in Andrijevica. A disagreement within the ruling coalition arose over the creation of new parliamentary seals, which led the parliamentary secretary to file criminal charges against unknown individuals.
The suspended assembly session will not take place tomorrow, and according to information from Television Vijesti, the stamps are not the main reason for the government crisis in this municipality.
"It seems to me that the people and all of us here in Andrijevica are overwhelmed by the election," said Vesko Raketić, president of the Andrijevica Municipal Assembly (MA).
Less than ten months after the last elections, a crisis within the ruling coalition has awakened the ghosts of the previous session. The session, which was suspended last week, will not be held tomorrow, when it was supposed to resume.
"There was no majority to hold the session that was supposed to be held tomorrow. So we noted in the minutes, and in a magical way without any announcement, that we do not have the secretary of the assembly in the municipal building itself, we do not know where he is or what he is. So we do not even have those old seals," Raketić pointed out.
And even Television Vijesti could not find out where the seal was, because the assembly secretary was not in Andrijevica today.
What is already known is that it was precisely the double seals of the authorities of one of the most underdeveloped municipalities in the north that caused a new government crisis.
The opposition Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) is aware that the current situation is not in anyone's favor, and is calling on the current majority to reach an agreement or return the mandate to the citizens.
"Because of their inaction, some local companies have not received their salaries. I would not like to see forced administration in Andrijevica reintroduced after a year because Andrijevica did not deserve it," pointed out Dobrašin Lalević (DPS).
Although they do not believe that there is a crisis within the ruling parties, those from the strongest constituent of the government, the Socialist People's Party (SNP), are calling on everyone to respect the coalition agreement that was signed.
"I call on my colleagues from the local government to return to the council benches so that the assembly can continue its work regularly in order to make decisions that benefit the citizens of Andrijevica," said Jakov Kuč (SNP).
According to our findings from Television Vijesti, the stamps are not the problem for not holding the session, but rather the desire of the Europe Now Movement (PES) and New Serbian Democracy to bring the Civic Movement (GP) "For the Future of Our Children" into power, which has three councilors, instead of Raketić's Vasojević Unity Movement, without agreement with the other constituents.
