A group of citizens from Cetinje continued to block the road to Podgorica today, demanding accountability for the two massacres in the Royal Capital in which 23 people were killed.
Today they radicalized the protest.
Television Vijesti journalist Ivana Vlaović reported from the scene that a group of citizens who have been organizing a blockade at Kruševo Ždrijelo for months have decided to extend the blockade to three hours today.
The blockade began at 17:26 p.m. and lasted until 20:26 p.m.
"We do not see any longer lines of cars forming because, as the police told us, they are redirecting cars at the exits from Podgorica and Budva. Dissatisfied citizens have stressed today that they will not give up the blockades until those responsible for the two mass murders that occurred in Cetinje are prosecuted. They also say that more severe radicalization is possible if the government remains silent on their demands," reported a journalist for Television Vijesti.
Blockade participant Vesna Pejović said that she will not give up and will radicalize every day.
"They will be informed the day before, but we will no longer be on the clock. Today it is three o'clock, we will see tomorrow. They have nothing to play with us anymore. They have not done their job, they are not moving from their place, and even Laković (Miodrag - chairman of the Security and Defense Committee) said about the session of the Committee where he is the chairman, if they gather, that means again if, all proposals are for assumption, nothing concrete. Laković, we are concrete, we will stand here until those who are responsible are prosecuted, and they were sitting, they had key positions," said Vesna Pejović.
Blockade participant Bato Pejović said "those responsible are held accountable."
"That they should be brought to justice for the actions they have taken, for giving weapons to the monster. If they had done the right thing, this would not have happened. Especially this last one. And as we stand here, we will stand until further notice. For our children, so that this never happens again," said Bato Pejović.
The police were securing the blockade, and Vlaović reported that according to citizens, there were more police officers at the previous blockade on Friday and today than in the previous period.
"A group of citizens is announcing the next blockade for tomorrow," said Vlaović.
