Every second driver tested in the first three months of this year was driving under the influence of drugs, and during the May Day holidays alone, during four days of checks, the police arrested 64 drivers who were behind the wheel under the influence of drugs. Is this a realistic picture or is the situation even worse since the police do not check drivers for drugs that often, but rather test them specifically? Is this quick screening test sufficient evidence that someone is driving under the influence of drugs? What is the situation regarding the presence of drugs in fatal traffic fatalities compared to previous years? What do these statistics say about the current state of drug abuse in Montenegro?
