Today, contracts will be signed with five clinics that perform in vitro fertilization procedures, one more than was the case previously.
The delay of almost a month was due to the implementation of procedures, said Radovan Nikolić, assistant director of the Health Insurance Fund, on the TV Vijesti program "Colors of Morning".
"I take this opportunity to apologize to citizens for this, because it is not the manner of the Health Insurance Fund, but it can sometimes happen due to objective circumstances. We have overcome such situations in communication with the clinics and according to our information, no one was harmed. However, I certainly urge anyone who has been harmed in any way to contact us so that we can find a way to overcome it and help eliminate these negative consequences," he stressed.
Nikolić explains that the quality of IVF procedures is at a high level and that they have not had any complaints so far. Last year, the state allocated 400 million euros for this purpose, and in the future they will negotiate with clinics regarding an increase in the prices of services.
