In one of the most beautiful green oases in Podgorica, the park in front of the Petrović Castle in Kruševac, family was celebrated today. Organized by the Parents Association, for the seventh time, the "Parents" Association marked the International Family Day with a gathering and a special program.
In a centuries-old forest in the heart of Podgorica, family and its values are celebrated today.
Family is a peaceful haven, a temple of love, but also a space for shared growth. Its value knows no time, trends or lifestyles. This was the message of the President of the Capital City Assembly, Jelena Borovinć Bojović, to those gathered at the parenting festival.

"Although we often say that we live in a time of great change, there is no time that we can put before what family brings and means. It represents values that do not know and do not acknowledge the passage of time, trends and lifestyles. Today I am especially happy to see so many children and young people. Through my relationship with my children, I myself have realized that no matter how much we teach them, they teach us even more and enrich us," said Borovinić Bojović.
Outdoor family gatherings are an opportunity for shared learning and activities, say the Parents Association, which is marking International Family Day this way for the seventh time. They also point out why supporting families is important.
"Our family in Montenegro has been going through various crises lately, it seems, and society is constantly condemning the family for various situations and behavioral problems in our children. I think we haven't realized lately how important family support is and that it is necessary for there to be family support services that will strengthen it," said Kristina Mihailović from the "Parents" Association.
Families look forward to events like this, which are full of smiles and fun through creative, educational, artistic, scientific, reading, and sports workshops.
"We are happy to respond to every invitation. I am a mother of four children and we really enjoy every outdoor event. ... Some are with their dad, everyone is there," said Tanja, a mother of four.
"We are aware that we live in a very busy time, we rush everywhere and neglect these gatherings, not only within the family, but also hanging out with friends, but also in nature, which is the most important," said Granica, Arsenije's mother.
The Festival features numerous guests, including magicians, animators, cyclists, firefighters, actors, dancers, majorettes, performers and entertainers. The program in the park and in front of the Petrović Castle lasts until 21 pm.
