Politics must finally be subordinated to the economy, but there is still no will to truly establish such a relationship in Montenegro, said the president of the Association of Managers of Montenegro, Budimir Raičković, while appearing on "Colors of Morning" on TV Vijesti.
"Politics still plays a dominant role in everyday life. We almost do not have a single political party that clearly and systematically advocates entrepreneurship and private initiative. If we do not turn to the economy, we will not have the resources to finance what we as a society expect from the state," said Raičković.
He recalled that Montenegro, like many other post-socialist countries, still functions under the influence of the old system, in which the state is seen as the guarantor of everything, while private initiative and entrepreneurship are often put on the back burner.
Raičković emphasized that in the Montenegrin space, more attention is still paid to those who present themselves loudly than to those who quietly and dedicatedly achieve results.
"Unfortunately, today it is easier to be noisy than excellent. Loud and aggressive performances often overwhelm quiet work and real results. It is not easy to change this mentality, but we must give space and attention to those who truly create value," he pointed out.
He added that the mission of the Association of Managers is to affirm excellence, dedication and responsibility as key values of development.
This message comes after the ninth annual awards ceremony of the Association of Managers of Montenegro.
