The "Days of Srijemuša and Traditional Cuisine" will be held on Saturday, May 24th, at the Mojan Adventure Park, located at the foot of Komovi, near the village of Japan near Andrijevica. This event has been gathering lovers of nature, local food, and socializing for the fourth year in a row.
The initiator of the event, former culinary professor Manojlo Vojvodić, emphasized in "Colors of Morning" on TV Vijesti that the most important thing is to preserve tradition and the spirit of togetherness. The event will feature dozens of dishes in which sremuša - also known as wild onion - is the "main star".
"There will be salad, pie, lamb's caps with sremuš, proje, porridge with nettle and sremuš, as well as many other specialties," he said.
Sremuša is known for its exceptional medicinal properties – it is good for cleansing the body, regulating blood pressure, and improving circulation. However, Vojvodić warns that it must be consumed in moderation.
"Like any medicinal herb, it should be used in moderation. It is a green treasure, but it should not be overused," he pointed out.
