Former beach tenants in Ulcinj are negotiating with the "Eagle Hills" company of UAE businessman Mohamed Alabar, after he announced that he would cede nine of the acquired beaches to them. They expect this to be resolved by the end of the month, as they are already behind schedule with preparations for the season.
Tenant Albert Kastrati pointed out on "Colors of Morning" on TV Vijesti that due to the increase in rent prices, they will have to raise service prices, although they are aware that this may not be a good business move.
"The rental prices are almost five times higher than before. Our guests are mostly from the region and it will be very difficult to remain competitive. If we increase the prices of services, we may lose guests - but we simply have no choice," said Kastrati.
During the holidays there were a few more visitors, but now Velika Plaza is almost empty.
"This situation has certainly shaken those who planned to come. However, we would like to tell the guests that they are welcome. We will do our best to welcome them as in previous years, perhaps even better," concluded Kastrati.
