Tourists waited in lines, authorities remain silent on demands from blockades

Although June 1st is associated with the more serious start of the summer tourist season, those who decided to come to Montenegro this weekend were unpleasantly surprised. Across the country, dissatisfied citizens blocked the most important highways.

Protests were organized on the roads Nikšić - Podgorica, Cetinje - Budva, Kolašin - Mojkovac, Bar - Ulcinj and Šavnik - Žabljak. For an hour, sometimes even two, confused tourists, uninformed about the blockades, waited in lines, while the authorities remained silent on the demands from the blockades.
