The leader of the Civic Movement URA, Dritan Abazović, said that the information that the vice president and MP of the party, Filip Adžić, refused to comply with the decision of the Main Board on rotation in the parliamentary caucus is not correct.
"We agreed earlier that we should promote as many people as possible through the state parliament. This is a strategy that was accepted even before the parliamentary elections and I think that will happen in the coming period," Abazović said on "Colors of Morning" on TV Vijesti.
He says that all the people, as far as GP URA is concerned, are up to the task.
Abazović said that it was a "reasonable" question whether Adžić would be at the party's Congress in July. "I wouldn't speculate, we have an atmosphere that is completely okay."
Several municipal committees of the GP URA have in recent days supported Abazović's candidacy for president of the party, as well as the candidacies of Ana Novaković Đurović, Milena Vuković and Blaža Rađenović for the position of vice president.
Abazović explained that since February, all positions have been open to every member.
"Each member expresses their desire and applies for one of the positions themselves. The fact that some have applied and some have not does not mean that they cannot be elected through party bodies, such as the Main Board. If I receive support, some positions are planned for all of them, even some new positions that should be foreseen in the new Statute. It's just about that, not about any problem," he pointed out.
When asked whether there will be rotations in the parliamentary caucus and whether the MPs - he, Ana Novaković Đurović and Miloš Konatar - agree to them, Abazović reiterated that they have an agreement to promote as many people as possible through parliament and that he thinks "it will all be that way."
"Of course it's mine too, I've already been elected as an MP four times, I want to see other colleagues, we have, in my humble opinion, great people here, like Milena Vuković, Mileta Radovanić, Luka Rakčević... people who should be in the state parliament. Now, how political processes will unfold in Montenegro, we cannot currently predict. In general, these are people who I expect to appear in the Parliament at some point."
He says that there are different opinions in GP URA and that he sees this as "higher quality".
"I don't see it as hostile when someone thinks we should do some things differently, I consider it as more quality. Such things don't bother me and I think they are beneficial. I don't consider it any hostility that there are people who think the party should have a slightly different course, approach, media appearances. It is important that we all learn democracy. We just need to accept that the decisions we make together, at the Congress or another body, should be followed. I wouldn't make a drama. Are there people who think differently, there probably are. That is not unexpected or unacceptable to me, on the contrary. I think people should have a dose of freedom to express what they think is best, that way we are only better, we should compete in good," said Abazović.
"Montenegro 365"
Abazović announced that he will promote the "Montenegro 365" program at the GP URA Congress in July, as he said, "with the desire to work every day for the state, cities and citizens."
"Preliminarily, the program was designed only for the tourism industry. Now it has expanded to other areas - energy, infrastructure, electoral reform, judicial reform... we will present a number of these ideas at the Congress and afterwards," he explained.
