Podgorica's city company "Sportski objekti" is satisfied with the start of the outdoor swimming pool season, and they say that revenues are higher compared to the same period last year.
"You can see for yourself that there is really great interest, that a large number of visitors and our users have been coming to the city pool since eight o'clock in the morning to refresh themselves in these hot summer days that are slowly starting in the capital. We are satisfied with this start of the season at the outdoor pool, we are already recording some records at the very beginning and that our income is already about 10.000 higher compared to the same period last year. The school year is over, that peak time is somewhere in the afternoon when we really have a large number of children who come here to the city pool to refresh themselves, so in essence, the month of June is somewhere in the middle, we can freely say, of great interest from our youngest fellow citizens who come here to the city pool and we are really trying to provide them with maximum conditions so that they are satisfied and leave the pool satisfied," said Ivan Kopitović, PR of "Sports facilities" to "Boja jutra" on TV Vijesti.
The outdoor pool can accommodate a maximum of 300 people.
"These are some procedures and practices that we try to comply with to the maximum extent possible so that safety is at an enviable level. Of course, it is always difficult to control such a large number, which, I repeat, is somewhere constant in the afternoon, but of course we have taken that into account, we have increased, or rather doubled, the number of lifeguards and staff here at the pool, so that we are truly ready at any moment to react in the event, God forbid, of any events here at the pool, and as I said, we have doubled the lifeguards, we have also doubled the measures of the Institute of Public Health, so that we really take maximum care of our users," Kopitović points out.
In the morning, the entrance fee to the city pool is 2,5 euros, and in the afternoon it is three euros.
"As I said, in the afternoon there is a significantly higher number of users and visitors at the city pool, but as you can see here, I expect in an hour, I am sure that the capacities at the city pool will be truly filled, because this is a practice that has been happening over the past few days, where we see that already between 11 and 12 am, until 12 pm while the morning shift lasts, we really have the maximum number of users and that there is really great demand from our fellow citizens," said Kopitović.
