The High Court in Bijelo Polje has scheduled a hearing for June 30th to consider the indictment against Alija Balijagić for the murder of his sister and brother, Milenka and Jovan Madžgalj, on October 25th last year, in the village of Sokolac in Bijelo Polje, reports Televizija Vijesti.
Balijagić faces a sentence of 40 years in prison for aggravated murder and illegal possession of weapons.
He was arrested near Priboj in Serbia, after almost a month on the run and an extensive police search in Montenegro and Serbia.
During the hearing with the prosecutor, Balijagić admitted that he killed Madžgalje, and the prosecution's indictment states that he did so by shooting from a hunting rifle through an opening in the window, while they were watching television and did not expect an attack on themselves.
The indictment against Balijagić, who spent more than 30 years in prison for various crimes, will be considered by the panel of Judge Dragan Dašić.
