Stalls and retail facilities in the center of Berane, on the land purchased by the German company Lidl for its supermarket, will definitely begin to be demolished on September 1st, the Municipality of Berane told Television Vijesti.
Although the owners and tenants of the building for decades are opposed to the demolition, they received a response from the Municipality that there will be no further postponement of the demolition.
The entrepreneurs respond that the only option left for them is to move out of Berane.
Lidl has purchased a plot of almost nine thousand square meters in the center of Berane for just under two million euros. The first payment of one million euros has already been deposited into the municipality's account, and the rest will arrive after the buildings are removed and the land is repurposed.
