Raičević: None of the beaches are ready from Bar Marina to the Željeznica River, we have been returned to the state we were in 20 years ago

According to unofficial data, around 37 thousand tourists visited Bar in June, while 14 were registered at the beginning of July, which is around 000% more than last year. However, the city under Rumija is facing numerous challenges this season, said the first man of the Municipality, Dušan Raičević, in an interview with Boje jutra on TV Vijesti, emphasizing that several beaches have not yet been renovated.

"If we are talking about the Bar Riviera, a micro-locality from the Bar Marina to the Željeznica River, none of the beaches are ready. And that is exactly what I was talking about, that we have been returned to the state of 20 years ago. In a previous period, we had the most well-maintained beaches and the most accessible for many tourists staying in our city. On the other hand, the Sutomore Riviera is not in any better condition, considering that many beaches are still not ready, that tenders for the lease of these beaches are still ongoing. All procedures are being completed in record time, the question arises whether we will be in a position to put these beaches into operation by the end of July, and what worries me personally as a Baranin is the state of the greatest pearl of the Bar Riviera, that is the Queen's Beach, which has changed tenants and unfortunately has not been put into operation, and we have personally witnessed in recent days that the Queen's Beach is being bypassed by tourists since it has no beach furniture, that the catering facility has not been put into operation function, that the cleanliness and maintenance of cleanliness on those beaches is questionable," Raičević pointed out.
