For many, a new stop on the map, for those who are just discovering it - Tivat is a place they return to

On the coast where you wake up in the morning to the smell of the sea and the sound of the waves, Tivat is located - peaceful, tucked away and surprisingly lively, that's how Marilyn and Alan, a married couple from England, describe it.

"We've been to Croatia, we've always wanted to come to Montenegro, the country is beautiful. This is our first time in Tivat, so far we like everything," says Marilin.

"We decided to come here last year, we've only been here for a few days, but what we saw thrilled us, we'll definitely come again," adds Alan.

For many - a new stop on the map, for those who are just discovering it - Tivat is a place they return to.

"I really like Tivat, it's a small town, tucked away and very quiet. What I love most is this morning peace," Irina points out.

"I brought my family on vacation. The sea is beautiful, the food is even better, and everything is so close – we explored everything, and we're still enjoying Tivat," says Maksim, a tourist from England.

Every year, Tivat is visited by an increasing number of tourists from the UK, many of whom are looking for an authentic experience of the Mediterranean city.

Mihailo Delević, a tour guide, says he mainly works with the UK market.

"To tell you the truth, they like the whole of Tivat. The impressions are more than positive," he adds.

And while tourists explore, locals still preserve their little rituals.

Neđeljko tells how he goes fishing with his grandchildren to the beach.

"Are there any fish? There aren't any. Maybe they ran away from the tourists. Are there any tourists? Well, there are," he says.

Between the sound of the waves and conversations on the shore, Tivat becomes a place where every guest feels at home, and every memory has the taste of salt and the warmth of a smile.
