Koprivica brought Vuković's book that was not presented to the jury members, Marunović asked him "who he is protecting"

Dragan Koprivica, a member of the Jury for the Thirteenth of July Award, brought Bećir Vuković's book "Homeless Houses" to the Načisto show on Television Vijesti tonight, in which the CIP (catalog record in the publication), publisher, ISBN number and COBISS do not match the one presented to the jury members.

Vuković received the Thirteenth of July Award for that book.

Editor and host of the show Načisto, Petar Komnenić, asked Koprivica whether, together with what the director of the National Library ''Đurđe Crnojević'' in Cetinje, Dragica Lompar, said in an interview broadcast on the show, was sufficient proof that they were deceived and that this procedure should at least be reviewed. Koprivica said that he had called the publisher Uljarević.

"And I asked him literally what you are asking me. He told me this: Due to the publisher's negligence, a book that was in a working version and in paper form was sent to the competition. The truth is this. During the past year, 2024, he told me, the book was made and sent in PDF format, as is sent for books, to the National Library of Serbia where all the CIP, COBISS, etc. data was made," said Koprivica.

Komnenić asked Koprivica if he had listened to what Lompar was saying, that the identification numbers were being replaced, all in order to get the book into a competition year to which it did not belong.

"If it was a manipulative action, let everyone bear their own mistakes. We received the books, the publisher claims that they were mistakenly sent with the address of the National Library of Serbia," said Koprivica.

When asked if he felt deceived, Koprivica said, "Of course it was a mistake, but none of us knew that."

Danilo Marunović, also a member of the Jury for the Thirteenth of July Award, said on the show that the jury members received a copy of the book from the ministry.

He asked Koprivica why he was showing up tonight with a different copy.

"Who are you protecting?" Marunović asked Koprivica.

Koprivica replied "so that the book is not hidden."

Marunović said to him, "Do you want me to tell you why?"

"Because you are part of the same project, the same conspiracy," Marunović said.

Director Branko Baletić said on the show that someone is behind this.

"That is absolutely certain. The book itself did not change the data. It must be determined who did it and how. But the bottom line is, there is Article 10 of the law that always tells us when we are members of the jury that the highest state award cannot be awarded to someone who does not recognize the state of Montenegro, does not recognize the identity of this state. In my opinion, the president of that jury must be a person who has absolute authority and he is an extended arm of the ministry and he is responsible," said Baletić.
