Unlike last summer, when there was a major regional outage and power outage, this year the electricity grid is withstanding the pressures of higher consumption due to the season. However, local outages have been recorded in Tivat, said Vladimir Ivanović, executive director of CEDIS, in a guest appearance on TV Vijesti's Boje jutra.
"We had cable damage and we made 54 connections on those two cable lines, which is unusual. That was the only power supply for the city of Tivat, because in 2015, by order of the energy inspection, the power line was disconnected due to the threat to the power line by illegal builders and Tivat had no backup power supply. We have made that power line operational with 18 pole locations and it is now the main power supply for the city of Tivat, and these two cable lines are in reserve. The city of Tivat will remain with that only power supply in the future when work begins on the boulevard through Tivat," he pointed out.
Three residential buildings on Topliški put in Budva still do not have electricity because it is necessary to build a new substation, but it is stuck in the administration.
"You have territories, unfortunately, where the conditions for obtaining urban planning and technical conditions are difficult, which we received in the meantime in 2023. We submitted in October last year, we sent a request for resolving property and legal relations to the Municipality of Budva and we still do not have an answer to that question. Each institution takes a little time and simply until you get to, I would say, operational execution of tasks, a long period passes. I think that a solution should be sought between the Municipality of Budva, CEDIS and investors," said Ivanović.
He also said that the current bill for electricity consumed through unauthorized consumption for these three buildings is 35 thousand euros.
He also stated that the database currently records 90 illegal users, or 20%.
