Božović admits that there is little chance that the announcement of the continuation of criminal prosecution in the "Telekom" case will lead to any progress.

Minister of Justice Bojan Božović said that he understands the intentions of the Government of Montenegro to re-address the Telekom case, but admits that there is little chance that any step will be taken by announcing the continuation of criminal prosecution.

He announced this tonight on the show Načisto on Television Vijesti, and this position is shared by the lawyer and defense advisor to former Chief Special Prosecutor Milivoje Katnić, Ante Nobilo.

"We are all aware of these obstacles that exist as statutes of limitations, and also the limited reach of the protector of property interests, that is, we know that criminal prosecutions are primarily within the jurisdiction of the state prosecutor's office. However, on the other hand, simply wanting to reveal all the circumstances of the case, this is another form of the government's attempt, I wouldn't say a pamphlet or anything else, to reopen this issue and possibly come up with some new facts and circumstances. When it comes to disciplinary proceedings, of course we support it. The representative of the Ministry of Justice in the Prosecutorial Council will of course closely monitor this case regarding Saša Čađenović and we will see when we receive all the circumstances," said Božović.

Nobilo said that in this situation where the statute of limitations has expired, there is no longer a chance.

"So, not small, not any, there's no chance, and the story is over. Of course, it may not suit someone politically, or it may suit someone, but people who deal with criminal law know that they have to stop there and it's over," said Nobilo.
