Montenegrin and Kosovo police have established joint patrols in the border area near Rožaje, where Montenegrin authorities recently reported shots fired at the Hajla - Štedim ski resort, on the Kosovo side.
This was announced to Television Vijesti by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, who said that, after the incident in August, four joint patrols were carried out and that no new incidents were registered, while this cooperation will continue in the coming period.
"Our authorities have received assurances from the Kosovo police that they will continue with intensive investigations until the perpetrators of these acts are identified and prosecuted," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
They also add that the Kosovo Border Police conducted a patrol and control in Štedim, and on that occasion no material evidence was found that would confirm the location or circumstances of the incident.
However, at the order of the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Peja, a preliminary investigation into the incident began, with the aim of identifying possible perpetrators, including collecting testimonies from various local sources.
