Employers in the public and private sectors can apply for the Vocational Training Program for University Graduates until noon tomorrow and thus hire interns.
However, due to technical problems, most of them only managed to apply electronically at the end of the competition, and some had to pay private companies to register them. That is why the authorities are calling on them to improve the system so that university graduates do not have to go through the same process, as this could lead to fewer applicants.
For days, the NGO PRIMA tried to register on the platform and fill out an application for hiring an intern. Starting this year, employers must have a new, electronic ID card for an authorized person and an ID card reader.
They succeeded two days before the closing date of the competition, which was announced in mid-September.
They are calling on the authorities to make the system operational because the problems they had will soon be faced by trainees, for whom the competition begins on October 18th: The Ministry of Public Administration is aware of the technical challenges related to employer registration, which is why in recent days they have helped those who contacted them directly to register on time.
Although registration for employers and future interns is free, due to problems with registration, advertisements for companies that charge for this service have appeared on social networks.
Among the employers who had to pay for something that was supposed to be free is our media company.
According to data from the Ministry of Public Administration, employers have so far registered to be looking for 9.500 interns, to which should be added another thousand that the Ministry of Education is looking for for positions in elementary schools.
However, whether due to registration problems or lower interest from employers, this year's advertised job openings are unlikely to reach last year's figure of 13.
