After almost ten years of construction, the City Theater in Podgorica will soon be ready for use. The works are in the final phase, and the facility will have, in addition to two auditoriums, rehearsal rooms, technical rooms, administration and two buffets, one with access to the roof terrace.
"Work is progressing according to the planned schedule, and the completion of construction works is expected by the end of the year. The formal opening depends on the technical acceptance and obtaining the occupancy permit, which will be completed in early 2026," explains Milica Đurišić, from the Podgorica Construction and Development Agency, to Boje jutra.
Technical acceptance involves checking whether the facility has been built in accordance with the building permit, technical documentation, and safety, occupational health and fire laws. If irregularities are found, the completion date may be extended, which is standard for more complex facilities.
