Montenegrin ski resorts are optimistically expecting a good winter season, which will officially begin during the weekend of December 12th to 15th. The Ski Center in Kolašin will also be ready.
"We managed to prepare the ski slopes for the most part, to carry out repairs to the ski lifts to the extent we could, so you saw, as you yourself said, that the road to the ski resort itself has been arranged, so I am sure we will only wait for the snow and that we will be absolutely ready to enter the winter season," said the director of the Montenegrin Ski Resorts, Bojan Medenica.
Montenegrin ski resorts are closely monitoring the forecast, and say that a long and good winter has been announced for all those who make a living from winter tourism, but they regret that they do not have artificial snow this year either. They expect state assistance for this and the lighting project.
"The state must also enter into this project more strongly and with a little more certainty and have it implemented for the next winter season. What I can say is that we already nominated the project task for lighting in May and the tender is underway," Medenica pointed out.
Medenica says that next week the land that slipped in the position where the K7 cable car pole is located will be remediated.
He rejects media reports that the pole is to blame for the landslide and says that it will remain that way even after the repairs. He also claims that the price list for the upcoming season will be mostly at the same level as the previous one, and that it has been agreed with the employees, who have been provided with their August salary, that the cable car and restaurant will operate during the holidays.
