Due to the storm that hit Montenegro last night, the Police Directorate's Operational and Communication Center received around 400 calls from citizens. However, authorities say that despite the red weather alert, the situation was less serious than expected.
"The biggest problems were recorded in Kolašin, where landslides occurred, buildings were flooded and a small bridge was swept away. One family was evacuated in Ulcinj, while several households reported water damage. There were also minor interventions in Danilovgrad and Podgorica," Jasmina Mustafić from OKC said on "Colors of Morning" on TV Vijesti.
All protection and rescue services are on heightened alert.
Citizens are advised to adapt their activities to weather conditions and avoid critical sections, especially areas prone to landslides and flooding.
