In the new edition of Sports Stories, we talk about our best handball players, who will begin their journey to the World Championship on November 26th.
As with any major competition – the ambitions are high.
Lionesses – worldly, and ours.
Coach Suzana Lazović, as well as national team players Đina Jauković, Matea Pletikosić and Marija Božović, speak for TV Vijesti.
And you share your opinion in the Megafon app – what can our handball players do at the world championship?
Return of identity?
The past year has been a difficult one for the Montenegrin national football team. It ended the way it began – with defeat, but also with hope for better days.
"A lot of work needs to be done," says coach Mirko Vučinić.
Croatian model of success
We also bring you the story of the only team from the former Yugoslavia that secured a place in the 2026 World Cup – Croatia.
The Croatian football model has been successfully operating for three decades.
"We are good, we are talented," admits coach Zlatko Dalić.
A glimmer of hope from Haiti
One of the most unusual and poignant sports stories of the year comes from a country facing chaos, fear, violence and millions of displaced people... and whose national football team has found itself on the world's biggest stage.
"This victory is big for Haiti... We hope this is a chance for the country to change and for us to start living together, in peace," says one fan, believing that football can stop the violence, at least for a moment.
