The university campus in Podgorica looks like it came out of a New Year's fairy tale this year. No stalls, no vendors, no mulled wine, just pure holiday magic that captivated both the youngest and the oldest. Sparkling installations, butterflies that look almost alive, and decorations that, according to visitors, we have never seen before, brought a completely new energy.
These days, it's as if some silent, winter wizard is passing through the campus of the University of Montenegro, scattering light in all colors, illuminating paths and lawns, transforming everyday space into a place where children stop enthusiastically and adults briefly forget their responsibilities.
The youngest are especially enchanted by the details, carefully placed decorations, vibrant colors, and figures that, as they say, seem as if they have come to life.
And adults confirm that the city has never looked like this.
The University, whose initiative this is, does not hide its satisfaction
"Personally, I am delighted because we are able to share, so to speak, joy with everyone, with such a decorated university campus, with such positive energy, and positive energy when shared only grows. So I think everyone is delighted with how the university campus looks and that the comments are mainly that we are getting closer to European university centers, when it comes to the appearance of the campus during the New Year holidays," said Vesna Vukadinović, PR of the University of Montenegro.
And behind the glittering festive image stands a story that gives the campus an even warmer dimension, because the project was created thanks to the togetherness and support of people who are connected to the University in various ways.
"Everything you see tonight is essentially a gift for the University of Montenegro and a gift for the city. The university received it completely free of charge, without any costs. It was an initiative of several partners. As I already said, these were partners, friends and former students of the university who contributed, each in their own way. One company contributed by fully delivering, donating these beautiful decorations that you see tonight. Others again provided their expertise, or simply provided technical support, design, installation itself, there were a lot of people there. We also had the support of the city service, or the service of the Capital City, and what is also good news is that we will also give part of these decorations to the Capital City so that these decorations will shine in other parts of the city as well," said Vukadinović.
Without stalls, noise and sales, only light, joy and festive spirit. The university campus has become a place where children find a fairy tale, and adults are told that they have the right to small joys.
