The Nikšić Steel Plant has been operating successfully for two and a half years since it was transferred to the ownership of the Electric Power Company and has been paying its obligations and debts, announced the management of the factory, whose workers do not cast steel today, but work for the needs of the energy sector.
On the occasion of Factory Day, it was announced that one of the steelworks' halls will likely soon become a regional recycling center, and the possibility of Slovenian companies starting steel production is not ruled out.
Steelworks Day, December 8th, was once celebrated by thousands of workers who produced various types of steel and were the foundation of the development of what was then Montenegro and Yugoslavia.
