Montenegro will receive 369 new police officers by the end of this year, who have passed all the checks stipulated in the public call, including checks for security concerns, psychophysical abilities, integrity and professional competencies.
"After starting their employment, candidates will undergo mandatory training at the Police Academy, which lasts three months, and some candidates who already have experience will be immediately included in the work," said Dragana Kažanegra Stanišić, State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in "Colors of the Morning" on TV Vijesti.
The largest number of new police officers will be assigned to the border police sector.
"By the end of the year, we are planning a new public call for applications for police officers for university graduates, and next year a special public call for applications for the title 'junior police officer' is expected, which will open the door to young people with secondary vocational education," she pointed out.
The Ministry of Interior plans to increase the presence of police officers during the upcoming holidays in squares where open-air celebrations are held, at border crossings and in traffic.
