A red weather alert is in effect in Montenegro due to heavy rainfall, and the most rain fell in Crkvice, almost 300 liters per square meter, while about 220 liters of rain were recorded in Cetinje, about 200 in Nikšić, and about 150 liters in Podgorica, meteorologist Dušan Pavićević said in "Colors of Morning" on TV Vijesti.
As he announced, the most intense precipitation is expected today and tomorrow, after which the rain will gradually decrease from Wednesday.
In the north of the country, rain will turn into sleet and snow, and new snow cover is expected to form from Thursday, especially in higher areas and ski resorts, where models are forecasting 30 to even 80 centimeters of snow.
