Today it will be known whether part of the stadium in Donja Gorica and part of the playground built in the Mareza canal will have to be demolished, or whether the Capital City will have to allocate a significant amount of money to otherwise enable water to flow unhindered to the Morača.
This was stated by civic activist Aleksandar Dragićević, stating that part of the canal was cleaned after the installation of a temporary bridge yesterday.
Now engineers will assess what needs to be done, but Dragićević points out for Boje jutra TV Vijesti that demolition is almost certain to be the solution.
The long-standing problem with the canal was exposed by floods caused by heavy rainfall, and the canal was filled in because, in addition to part of the stadium and playground, parking lots were built in it, and even orchards grew there.
Dragićević, who has been most active in the field in recent days, expects someone to be held accountable, and believes it is devastating that no one from the state government is speaking out about the floods in many municipalities.
