The experience of European Union countries shows that membership is often accompanied by a sharp increase in real estate prices. According to Eurostat data, from 2015 to 2025, apartment prices in the EU increased by more than 60 percent on average, while rents increased significantly in all member states, by an average of about 20 percent.
In some countries, such as Hungary and Bulgaria, prices have increased many times over. This data raises the question of whether a similar scenario awaits Montenegro after joining the European Union?
