The Podgorica ice rink within the Sports and Recreation Center "Morača" attracts visitors of all generations this winter. Children and adults enjoy recreation and learning to skate, while instructors provide advice and support to beginners. Jelena Čarapić, an ice skating instructor, reveals how little ones quickly master the ice and invites everyone to try this popular winter activity.

The Podgorica ice rink within the Sports and Recreation Center "Morača" is one of the city's main attractions this winter. During the holidays, it brought together visitors of all generations, offering recreation and family fun. Instructor Jelena Čarapić explains how much interest there is and what training on the ice looks like.

"The attendance is very good. The people of Podgorica are very interested in the ice rink. We have mostly younger children, aged 7 to 8, we also have even younger ones, but older ones also come. Children learn quickly, first I let them feel the ice with their feet, then I slowly relax them. All this is normal because when we were learning to walk, we fell. The advice is to never give up and that we have to overcome many obstacles in order to continue and be more successful," Čarapić told Television Vijesti.

While performing various tricks and professional movements on skates, Jelena invites the people of Podgorica, as well as residents of surrounding towns, to try their hand at this skill.

"All Podgorica residents are invited, as well as other citizens, to try out ice skating, but older people are a little more afraid, they are afraid of falling," said Čarapić.

Unlike the older ones, the children are much braver on the ice. For some of them it was love at first sight.

The Podgorica ice rink is open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Visitors have access to skates, and the price of use is five euros per hour, which includes the use of complete equipment.
