Last week, the police director told TV Vijesti that they would not have been able to arrest Miloš Medenica if they had found him outside the apartment before he fled.
However, less than four months ago, they deprived the liberty of Nemanja Zurovac (28), a suspected member of an organized crime group, from Novalja, because they found him outside the apartment where he was supposed to be detained.
The police sent an explanation to Television Vijesti, ahead of "Vijesti at Half Seven", that this was not a criminal offense for which the maximum legal term of three years had expired, and that he was deprived of his liberty because the court could have ordered his detention, and that he had committed another criminal offense in the meantime.
