The Spuž detention center has been under scrutiny by domestic and international institutions for years, and the latest report by the Human Rights Ombudsman points to poor conditions in which juveniles are held, from damp and dilapidated rooms to inadequate beds and toilets.
The Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, however, says that there is no inhumane treatment and that the damage is being repaired regularly.
