Komnenić said he understood Šaranović's decision, and then after two hours of the show, he sent the guests away. He said that this rather complex situation was new to him, and then decided to play a recording of the conversation with Miloš Medenica.
The video shows a conversation in which the alleged Miloš Medenica greeted the guests, and then took off his hood at the guests' request.
"I say hello to everyone in the studio, especially you, Mr. Komnenić. Let's put an end to this topic so that we no longer bother the Montenegrin public," he said in the recording.
After the commercials, Komnenić said that there was some public skepticism about who was in the video allegedly featuring Miloš Medenica, but he announced that it was his and the editorial team's assessment that the recording of the conversation from the show, which took place during the commercials, should be aired after the show.
"Today teaches us that anything is possible. I'm sorry that we spend an hour and 55 minutes discussing whether Miloš is real and not once in the show do you ask about the ongoing searches of Veselin Barović's property," said Šaranović.
He said that OKG crime applied much worse measures against him to stop him.
"This is an amateur performance and an attempt to shift the focus of the security sector from the fight against organized crime," said Šaranović.
Šaranović said that the Police Department and the Prosecutor's Office should announce the details of the investigation against Veselin Barović, but he disclosed that these are criminal acts with elements of economic crime.
Andjušić said that even the worst enemies of the DPS could not have dreamed that it could be five times worse than during the DPS era.
The former Minister of the Interior said that instead of a strong response, "we got institutional disarray."
Šaranović said that work is underway to systematically resolve the problem, but added that the director of the secret service does not hide his view that reforms and amendments to the ANB Law must take place for further changes in the Agency.
"Overall support for vetting and support for law enforcement is needed," said Šaranović, then added that there will be nanogica, explaining that he has taken all legal steps to procure them and that they will be available in the next month and a half...
"Why didn't you get them?" the minister asked his former colleague in the department.
"Why don't you ask Adžić why he didn't get it in a year and a half? Why aren't you reforming the ANB, and why Kurti, the Agency's chief inspector, was an intimate of Mićunović," said Šaranović.
Komnenić asked where the ANB is in the whole charade during this special war, and why are they not providing counterintelligence protection to the institutions?
"Did the Agency have to monitor the head of the OKG group, did that service fail to do so?" the author asked.
Adžić said that everyone would like the security sector to function well, but that after the call, his impression was that this was not an artificially generated character.
"It seemed real to me. Maybe it would have helped if they had had that person on the phone longer," Adžić said.
He said that if this recording is called after, if it is released publicly, no one in the state will be able to trust Šaranović's department anymore.
"You have tied your own hands in this way. You have imagined how every police officer should behave towards OKG members and have caused great insecurity," said Adžić.
Šaranović asked Andđušić if he knew who Veselin Barović was.
"I am deeply shaken because since tonight I have no doubt that this is Miloš Medenica," said Andjušić.
Anđušić believes that citizens would like to see the recording of the call, but he emphasized that he had a bad and unusual feeling about witnessing all of this.
"There is no such thing as artificial intelligence that can talk in real time. It is striking that it answers every question in a split second, can you take off your hood - here... although I had a dilemma, I no longer have it," said Andjušić.
Šaranović said that it was not precise that he did not have his permission, because he did not need permission, but he clearly said that he "did not want to participate" in it.
"If there is even one per mille that this is the real Miloš Medenica, a member of the OKG, my position is that I do not want to talk to such people. I tried not to look at that call. I do not want to witness that in public, I do not want to participate in the concept of making media stars out of convicted, fugitives," said Šaranović.
After the commercials, Komnenić announced that a virtual character answered the call, to whom he asked for answers in front of witnesses on the show.
Komnenić said that he did not have permission from the Minister of the Interior, but shared that his impression was that this seemed "real", and that studio cameras recorded a 30-second conversation.
"We received a call from an unknown Signal number, a video call. I did not leave the studio, I accepted the message in front of witnesses. I tried, on the advice of experts, to ask as many questions as possible. I asked the person to let his hair down. This seemed very real," said Komnenić.
"I don't have the space to include this person or virtual character in the show because I want to be honest and not have the minister leave the show because of it," said Komnenić.
Commercials are running, and after that, the author will call the number from which he received a message today and an offer to join, allegedly from fugitive Miloš Medenica, who was sentenced to 10 years and two months in prison on January 28th for forming and creating a criminal organization.
With that verdict, his mother, former President of the Supreme Court Vesna Medenica, was sentenced to a decade in prison, but she was not convicted of membership in that OKG, but only of unlawful influence.
Anđušić asked Šaranović several times whether he would resign if it turned out that this was the authentic Medenica, but the director did not receive an answer, but he did receive a series of sub-questions about what happened during the DPS era.
"We will and are solving all the problems you have left us with," said Šaranović.
In response to several questions from the show's author about how it was possible that no one was responsible, Šaranović reiterated that he had clearly stated "that all internal control mechanisms would be exhausted in order to determine if anyone in the police system was responsible."
Adžić asked why the Democrats, who were given this portfolio, did not change key laws that would regulate this area, and that did not cause the rest of the majority to leave the government.
The head of the internal affairs department said that possible failures in the Police Department are being investigated by the Internal Control Department and the Anti-Corruption Department, and that it will be determined whether there was any responsibility in the police system.
When asked by journalists whether he saw the root of the responsibility of the DPS in everything, which pushed Vesna Medenica into a third, unconstitutional term in 2019, Anđušić said that they bore political responsibility for that and that the citizens punished them in the elections.
"I would like someone else to say that much worse things are happening now than those that happened during the DPS era," he replied.
After being neglected as an interlocutor on the show, Anđušić, after finally getting the floor, said that he knew the answer to all the questions and directly said that Šaranović was politically responsible, and Lazar Šćepanović functionally responsible for "the scheduling of all security elements in this case."
"All you had to do was put a patrol outside that man's house a few days before the verdict. And this wouldn't have happened," he said.
Andjušić wondered at what moment in the country someone should finally resign.
Adžić said that it was the obligation of the Police and the National Security Agency to conduct a security assessment in the case of Miloš Medenica, as the head of an organized group who was threatened with long-term imprisonment.
"They should consult with the ANB and ask for help. They were also obliged to consult with the people in UIKS. It was necessary to secure that person so that they would not get into a situation where he could freely walk out of the apartment," said Adžić.
The Minister of the Interior reacted to this by saying that it was the court's job and that "the former minister does not know the CPC precisely."
Šaranović read the position of the European Court of Human Rights, stating that the practice of that court states: "when carrying out supervision of judicial measures, the Police Department cannot conduct supervision for 24 hours without an explicit court order."
"The decision to leave the situation must be extremely precise, in order to avoid police arbitrariness," the minister read out and added whether they expect UP 24 to monitor a large number of people.
Šaranović emphasized that once a person's detention expires, three years after the indictment, the police cannot arrest that person or detain that person in violation of the measure, without a court order.
"The best confirmation of this is the written order from Judge Vesna Kovačević, who requested that the Police Department conduct 24-hour surveillance of Vesna Medenica," he said.
The former Minister of the Interior called on all police officers to refer to the articles of the Internal Affairs Law, to detain any person who violates the measures, to collect information, and to notify the court if there is a possibility that they may commit a criminal offense.
"Then the responsibility lies with the court, until then it's up to the police. That is clear in Articles 166 and 168 of the Criminal Procedure Code," said Adžić.
He said he could not believe that any UP officer would interpret court decisions and question the correctness of those decisions. "I cannot believe what we are witnessing," Adžić said.
He said that the courts bear the greatest responsibility for the entire situation.
"Finally, when the court started to produce some results, due to the UP's inaction, when we should have shown the power of the state, we have a huge omission and institutional conflict. Not a single link in the UP-courts chain must not function, because what kind of message are we sending with this," he said.
Anđušić from DPS asked who in the security establishment would resign if it turns out that this is the authentic Miloš Medenica, who has been joking around with video content for days.
"Do you think it would be a first-class scandal if it turns out to be true?" asked Andjusic.
The Minister of the Interior did not respond directly, but reiterated that this was a hybrid operation.
Šaranović said that Komnenić has the author's free right to do whatever he wants with the inclusion of the alleged Miloš Medenica.
He said that the views of the UP director are completely justified, which is confirmed by the conclusions from the meeting with Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
"You saw after all that the position of the Police Department was confirmed, that the court must explicitly order how and in what manner the police must conduct surveillance. And that is what the court did in the case of Vesna Medenica," the minister said.
