It is unclear when work on the Cetinje - Nikšić highway will resume.

After more than three decades of waiting, the Cetinje - Čevo road section was opened last summer, as the first phase of the future highway towards Nikšić.

While that part has finally been completed, the continuation of the project is shrouded in uncertainty - because, despite announcements about the start of work, the situation on the ground is not currently following the planned dynamics.

Ten months after the opening of the first section, and despite announcements about the start of work on the continuation towards Nikšić, there is no visible construction activity, nor is there any heavy machinery that would indicate that the second phase is underway.
