Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro and Minister of Economic Development Nik Đeljošaj said tonight in the Reflektor show on Vijesti Television that the arbitration proceedings before the court in London, which ended with a settlement between the tenant of Sveti Stefan, the company "Adriatic Properties", and the Government, cost Montenegro almost seven million euros, but that they prevented potential damage to the state that could have been several hundred million.
While Đeljošaj claims that they should not have risked waiting for a verdict before the Court of Arbitration in London, the vice-president of the Civic Movement URA and member of the Sveti Stefan Local Community Council, Blažo Rađenović, reiterated on the Reflektor show that this is a job for the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT), because, as he claims, it was certain that Montenegro would win the dispute.
Radjenovic pointed out that the arbitration dispute was an opportunity for Montenegro to terminate, as he claims, a contract harmful to the state, with a lessee who destroyed and devastated a protected cultural property.
Đeljošaj also said that the entire settlement work in London would be completed in about ten days.
